The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Volleyball Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Volleyball Players of the week for matches played during the third week of the 2021 season. Queens Casey Tarvin takes Player of the Week honors, while Anderson's Madison Roy was named Specialist of the Week.
Tarvin, a senior outside hitter, helped lead the Royals to a 2-0 conference record this past weekend. She tallied 14 kills and 15 digs in their sweep over Coker. Tarvin went on to put down 10 kills, 16 digs, one service ace and one assist in their second sweep of the week over Lincoln Memorial. Overall, the Leander, Texas., native averaged 4 kills per set, 5.17 digs per set and had a .235 hitting percentage. This is Tarvin's first Player of the Week Honor this season.
A Junior setter from North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Roy, helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 conference record this past week. Overall, she averaged 13.86 assists totaling to 97 assists combined while adding a total of 15 digs, two kills and three service aces. This is Roy's first Specialist of the Week Honor this season.
