The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets held this last week. Wingate's Meg Rapley took the track honor while Lenoir-Rhyne took the field honor with Bekki Roche.
A sophomore distance runner Rapley, competed in the UIndy Last Chance Meet this past weekend where she placed first and set a season best in the 800-meter with a time of 2:16.41. This is Rapley's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
A freshman thrower Roche, competed in the Lenoir-Rhyne home opener this past weekend where she placed second in the weight throw with a throw of 45.80m and went on to place fifth in the Shotput with a hurl of 10.94m. This is Roche's first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
