The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its first AstroTurf Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the 2020-21 season. Queens sweptthis week's awards with Stevie Lawrence-Wrist earning the track honors and Elise Ulseth taking the field honors.
A junior distance runner, Lawrence-Wrist, competed in the VMI Team Challenge this past Saturday where she took second-place in the women's mile, with a time of 5:05.48. This is Lawrence-wrist's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
A junior multi-competitor, Ulseth, finished first in both the high jump and long jump with marks of 1.68-meters and 6.09 meters respectively. The Kristiansund, Norway natives mark in the long jump was a new record at Corps Physical Training facility. Additionally, both marks were NCAA DII Provisionals. This is Ulseth's first Field Athlete of the Week honor this season.
