2024 SAC Men's and Women's Swimming Championships Preview
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The 2024 South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Swimming Championships are set to begin on Wednesday, February 14 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
The four-day event will begin with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and will run through Saturday evening. To access the full schedule of events, click HERE.
The 2023 inaugural SAC Men's Champions, the Wingate Bulldogs, lead this year's competition on the men's side as they enter the meet with a No. 7 national ranking. The Bulldogs are the lone SAC men's team to receive a national ranking in the CSCAA Top 25 monthly poll, although Catawba was noted as receiving votes in the most recent poll.
The Wingate Bulldogs lead the women's field heading into the 2024 women's championship, as they sit at No. 8 in the national rankings and hold the 2023 SAC Champion title. Two other SAC programs are among the women's CSCAA Top 25 polls, as Carson-Newman sits at No. 19 and Catawba follows closely at No. 23.
Live streaming of the championships will be provided on FloSports, while live results will be available on the Meet Mobile app. Final results and heat sheets will be available online at the SAC's website (www.thesac.com/championships). All session and per day tickets will be available at the gate. Please note that parking at the Greensboro Aquatic Center is $8 daily with a 3-day pass offered on Wednesday and Thursday for $25. All patrons should identify themselves as SAC Patrons to the Parking Cashiers in order to receive the $8 parking fee. There are multiple events on the Greensboro Coliseum Property, so spectators should plan accordingly for heavy traffic near the Greensboro Coliseum/ Greensboro Aquatics Center.
