Lenoir-Rhyne Captures Second Straight SAC Women's Soccer Regular Season Title, Seeds for SAC Women's Soccer Championship Announced
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears finished the 2023 regular season with a perfect record of 11-0 and 33 points in the conference to earn the 2023 SAC Women's Soccer Regular Season Title. The Bears will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SAC Women's Soccer Championship.
Catawba earned the No. 2 seed with a 10-1 record and 30 points. Wingate finished the regular season with a 9-2 record and 27 points, giving the Bulldogs the No. 3 seed.
Anderson finished the regular season with a record of 6-3-2 and 20 points, which gives the Trojans the No. 4 seed in the championship.
Carson-Newman slid into the No. 5 seed with a record of 5-4-2 in SAC play and 17 points, while Lincoln Memorial took the No. 6 seed with a record of 4-4-3 and 15 points.
Rounding out the field for the championship are Limestone at No. 7 and Mars Hill at No. 8. The Saints finished the year with a record of 3-6-2 and 11 points, while the Lions are 2-6-3 with 9 points.
The 2023 South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals will be played at campus sites on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5, before moving to the Sportsplex at Matthews in Matthews, N.C. for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 10 and 12. The South Atlantic Conference's Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
