United Soccer Coaches Announces Division II Women's Soccer Regional Award Winners
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – United Soccer Coaches announced its women's soccer regional award winners with the SAC receiving 11 individual honors. Carson-Newman led the southeast with five mentions.
The Eagles collected four first-team honors and one second-team. Jackie Burns, Alex Brandan, Averi Williams, and Magda Mosengo earned first-team nods, while Catarina Realista earned second-team. Mosengo was honored as the SAC Offensive Player of the Year and Williams garnered the Defensive Player of the Year.
Lenoir-Rhyne had a player collect an honor on each team. Abbie Brown was first-team, Christina Shimshock was second-team, and Aqsa Mushtaq was on the third-team.
Catawba, Tusculum, and Lincoln Memorial all had one player collect all-region accolades. Jovana Sanchez of Catawba was named to the second-team. Kenzie Ellenburg was the Pioneer to receive the third-team nod. Railsplitter Jessica Cravero was honored on the third-team.
