Multiple SAC Women’s Soccer Players Earn National, Regional Honors
Multiple SAC women’s soccer players received accolades from the NSCAA and Daktronics on Wednesday, led by Wingate’s Jade Montgomery, who earned a spot on the Daktronics All-America Team.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Multiple SAC women's soccer players received accolades from the NSCAA and Daktronics on Wednesday, led by Wingate's Jade Montgomery, who earned a spot on the Daktronics All-America Team.
Montgomery – who was earlier named the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year – was selected to the All-America Second Team. It marks the second year in a row that Montgomery has received All-America accolades from Daktronics.
Montgomery's teammate, defender Chandler Murphy, was also named an honorable mention All-American by Daktronics.
Also revealed on Wednesday was the NSCAA All-Southeast Region Team. Montgomery was named to the First Team, joining Wingate midfielder Taryn Grivois, Lincoln Memorial defender Sam Adams, and Lenoir-Rhyne defender Amber Madriaga and forward Garcelle Alequine.
Three more SAC players earned selections to the NSCAA All-Region Second Team in Murphy, Queens forward Brooke Foil and Lenoir-Rhyne forward Leah Mullins. Additionally, Tusculum keeper Marissa Williams, Queens defender Ashley Osiecki, Wingate defender Brandi Baldwin, Lenoir-Rhyne midfielder Hanna Kiebel, Queens midfielder Caitlyn Rodrigues, Tusculum midfielder Monica Perez and Catawba forward Mary Kirkman were all named to the All-Region Third Team.
