Carson-Newman’s Thomas Named to Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman sophomore Stacey Thomas has been named to the 2004 CoSIDA College Division Academic All-District IV women's soccer team.
Thomas has a perfect 4.0 grade point average in Mathematics. She is a member of Lady Eagles' team that is ranked eighth in the nation in Division II and was ranked as high as sixth. Thomas is a member of the Carson-Newman Dean's List and SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. She has been nominated to the Lamda Lamda Lamda Honors Society and is a Presidential Scholar. She is active in Carson-Newman Fellowship of Christian Athletes and serves as a math tutor on campus.
Members of the Academic All-District team are voted on by
members of the College Sports Information Directors of America in
District IV which include colleges and universities in the states
of Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. Thomas will now
advance to the national ballot for Academic All-American
consideration.
