Queens and Limestone Earn Bids to 2021 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse team's have earned bids to the 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse South Regional, the NCAA announced Sunday, May 9.
This year's South Atlantic Conference Champions the Queens Royals have earned the No. 1 seed in the south region earning them a bye in the first round. The Limestone Saints followed right behind earning the No. 2 seed and will take on the No. 3 seed Mount Olive in the first round of play starting May 14.
The championship provides for a 12-team tournament. Four predetermined sites will host first- and second- round competition Friday, May 14, and Sunday, May 16.
The winners of the four second-round games will advance to the semifinals and finals which will be conducted Friday, May 21, and Sunday, May 23. The championship will be co-hosted by the Mountain East Conference and the City of Salem, in Salem, Virginia.
