The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week, March 6
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' Alexandra Bruder has been selected the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Aarika Kaester of Queens has been selected as the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Feb. 27th-Mar. 6th, the League announced today.
Bruder, a senior from Ocean City, Maryland, totaled six goals and two assists as the Royals went 2-0 for the week. In the 14-8 victory against Saint Leo, Bruder scored four goals and went 2-of-2 in free position shots. She also posted two caused turnovers and a draw control. Bruder finished the game with a shot percentage of 66.7 percent as well as a shot on goal percentage of 100 percent. In the 16-4 victory against Catawba, she scored two goals, had two assists, and went 2-of-2 in free position shots. The honor marks her first Player of the Week selection this season.
Kaester, a senior from Rochester, New York, totaled three ground balls, and one draw control in a 14-8 victory against Saint Leo. In the 16-4 victory against Catawba, Kaester recorded five ground balls and two caused turnovers. The honor marks her first Player of the Week selection this season.
