SALISBURY, N.C. – Holding Anderson (22-9) to a season-low 54 points, Carson-Newman (24-9) secured the program's largest win in an NCAA tournament game to clinch the program's third berth in Southeast Regional title game with a 74-54 win on Saturday evening in Goodman Gymnasium.

Carson-Newman Ends Trojans Run In NCAA Tournament; 74-54
SALISBURY, N.C. – No. 6 Anderson University women's basketball fell to No. 2 Carson-Newman, 74-54, in the semifinal round of the NCAA Southeast Regional on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Gym. A poor second quarter of play saw the Trojans fall behind by seven heading into halftime. Anderson continued to pursue hard, however the Eagles answered any push the Black and Gold could muster.

Catawba Falls to Georgia Southwestern in Southeast Region Semis
Salisbury, N.C. - Top-seeded Catawba fell to No. 5 Georgia Southwestern in the Southeast Regional Semifinals on Saturday (March 16). Despite outscoring the Hurricanes in the second half, the Catawba Indians could not overcome the 27-point lead that Georgia Southwestern established in the first half. Catawba was led by Sara McIntosh, who posted 20 points and six rebounds, and Janiya Downs, who sunk five three-pointers and contributed 17 points. The Catawba Indians conclude the season with a 24-6 overall record.
