Six SAC Softball Teams Ranked in NCAA DII Southeast Region Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference had six schools ranked in the NCAA Southeast Region Softball poll released by the NCAA on Wednesday (Apr. 27). Anderson took the No. 1 spot, followed by Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 2, Wingate at No. 3, Lincoln Memorial at No. 6, Carson-Newman at No. 7 and Queens at No. 10.
In addition to the six SAC schools ranked in this week's poll, North Georgia was tagged at No. 3, King (TN) was ranked at No. 4, Francis Marion took No. 8 and Lander came in at No. 9.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Softball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
