Wingate's Kipchumba Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the week of Sept. 17 through Sept. 23. Wingate's Micah Kipchumba was named the runner of the week.

Kipchumba, a sophomore from Nakura, Kenya, crossed the finish line at 25:52.74 taking home the individual title in the men's 8k race at the Bulldog Stampede last week. He also led the Wingate men to the team title in the event.

This is Kipchumba's first Runner of the Week honor this season.
