Wingate’s Watson, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Eisenmann Named Runners Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Wingate University's Jayce Watson and Genna Eisenmann of Lenoir-Rhyne College have been named the South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week announced league officials Monday. Watson earns this honor for a fourth time this season, while Eisenmann has been named Runner of the Week for two straight weeks and third time overall.
Watson, a 5-8, 135-pound junior from Millersport, Ohio, won the Greensboro Invitational (NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA) with a time of 26:06 on the 8,000-meter course. It was his second career victory and first this year. The Millersport High School product outdistanced the field to lead the Bulldogs to a third place finish in the team competition.

Eisenmann, a junior from Clayton, N.C., was the top NCAA II runner at The Citadel Invitational as she posted a time of 18:42 on the 5K course. The Clayton High School graduate led the Bears to a second place finish of the NCAA II teams participating.
The SAC Runners of the Week are selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
