The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman's Devon Moore was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, while Queens' Martin Knauer was named AstroTurf Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for meets contested during the fourth week of the 2021 outdoor season, the Conference office announced today.
Moore, a senior sprinter from Baxley, Ga., picked up two NCAA provisional times at the Montreat Invitational last week. He won the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.51 seconds and he won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.24 seconds. Moore now ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the 200-meter dash.
Knauer, a senior thrower from Wolnzach, Germany, took home first place honors at the Winthrop Invitational in the shot put with an NCAA provisional toss of 18.01 meters. He now ranks sixth in NCAA Division II in the shot put.
