The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2021 Men's Tennis Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Wingate finished the regular season with a 10-0 South Atlantic Conference record and earned the SAC Men's Tennis Regular Season Title, it was determined on Sunday (April 11) as the Conference season came to an end.  This is the third consecutive regular season championship for the Bulldogs, who will enter next week's SAC Men's Tennis Championship as the No. 1 seed.

Queens finished the year at 11-1 in conference play. The Royals earned the No. 2 seed in next week's championship and Tusculum slides into the No. 3 spot with a 9-2 SAC record. Lenoir-Rhyne will be the No. 4 seed after finishing the regular season with a 9-3 record.

Anderson will be the No. 5 seed after closing out the season with an 8-3 record in SAC play, while Lincoln Memorial is the No. 6 seed with a record of 6-6 in conference. Carson-Newman and Limestone rounded out the field of eight for the championship as the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds, respectively. The Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 5-6 and the Saints completed the year with a 5-7 record.

The 2021 South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championship will be played at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C. beginning with quarterfinals on Thursday (April 15), followed by semifinals on Friday (April 16) and finals on Saturday (April 17). Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Palmetto Tennis Center will not be allowing spectators into the venue during the championship. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows:

Match 1: #8 Limestone vs. #1 Wingate, 12:00 p.m.
Match 2: #5 Anderson vs. #4 Lenoir-Rhyne, 12:00 p.m.
Match 3: #7 Carson-Newman vs. #2 Queens, 12:00 p.m.
Match 4: #6 Lincoln Memorial vs. #3 Tusculum, 12:00 p.m.

Friday, April 16 (at Palmetto Tennis Center)

Match 5: Winner Match 1 vs. Winner Match 2, 12:00 p.m.
Match 6: Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4, 12:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 17 (at Palmetto Tennis Center)
