Queens’ Andrade, Carson-Newman’s Frame Named Daktronics Men’s Soccer All-Americans
Queens midfielder Thiago Andrade and Carson-Newman forward Ross Frame have been named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-America Team, it was announced in conjunction with the NCAA Division II National Championships.
EVANS, Ga. – Queens midfielder Thiago Andrade and Carson-Newman forward Ross Frame have been named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-America Team, it was announced in conjunction with the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Andrade is one of 13 student-athletes selected to the All-America First Team, while Frame is a second-team pick.
Andrade finished tied for the SAC lead with 10 assists and tied for second in scoring with 15 goals, leading Queens to both the conference's regular-season and tournament titles, and a berth in the NCAA Championship. He was also member of the All-SAC First Team.
Frame - the SAC Player of the Year – leads the conference with 18 goals and has matched Andrade's assist total of 10. Behind Frame, Carson-Newman has reached the national semifinals of the NCAA Championship, where the Eagles will compete in Evans, Ga., this week.
Frame is also the SAC leader in points with 46.
Long Island forward Eivind Austboe was chosen as the Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Ron Lenz National Player of the Year.
