Carson-Newman’s Baldock, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Quinn Named Men’s Soccer All-Americans
MISSION, Kan. -- A pair of South Atlantic Conference men's soccer players have earned All-American honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Carson-Newman goalkeeper Tyler Baldock and Lenoir-Rhyne defender Ged Quinn were both named to the Third Team.

Carson-Newman men's soccer senior goalkeeper Tyler Baldock has earned Third Team All-American honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Baldock rewrote the South Atlantic Conference record book during his Eagle career. This season, he secured 10 shutouts and recorded 37 saves to help lead C-N to the regular season South Atlantic Conference title. He is the SAC's career leader in shutouts and goals against average. The Eagles advanced to the NCAA Appalachian Regional tournament.
Lenoir-Rhyne
Ged Quinn, a senior on the Lenoir-Rhyne men's soccer team, was named to the adidas/NSCAA NCAA Division II All-American Third Team.
Quinn, a native of Jarrow, England, adds to his list of accomplishments this year which include 2006 South Atlantic Conference Co-Most Valuable Player accolades, the first L-R player to win the award, and First-Team All-SAC honors.
In addition, Quinn was named to the 2006 NCAA Division II Appalachian Region All-Tournament Team and Daktronics All-Appalachian Region First Team.
Quinn captained the Bears to their best season in school history at 19-1-1 and a No. 5 final national ranking. Lenoir-Rhyne also won the Food Lion SAC Tournament and earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Regional Finals.
Quinn is the third men's soccer All-American in school history and the first since Richard Vardy in 1993.
