ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate men's lacrosse teams earned spots in the latest NCAA South Region Men's Lacrosse poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (May 2). The Bears earned the top spot in the poll, while the Bulldogs earned the No. 6 spot.
Lenoir-Rhyne finished the regular season ranked No. 5 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national poll with a record of 16-2, and it was the runner-up at the SAC Men's Lacrosse Championship.
Wingate finished the regular season with a record of 11-5 overall and is currently ranked No. 19 in the latest USILA national poll. The Bulldogs were the winners of the SAC Men's Lacrosse Championship.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections, which will take place on Sunday, May 6.
