The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial attack Adam Golia has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, and Lenoir-Rhyne goalie Ryan Crompton has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played April 16-22, the League announced today.

Golia, a senior from Victoria, British Columbia, led the Railsplitters to a 24-4 non-conference win over Davis & Elkins last week, scoring six goals with five assists for 11 points. It was his third double-digit performance of the season and he became just the 18^th player in the history of NCAA Division II men's lacrosse to reach the 100-point mark. Golia leads both the SAC and the NCAA with 101 points on the year.

Crompton, a senior from Frederick, Md., led the Bears to a 15-7 win over Coker last week, securing Lenoir-Rhyne's third consecutive SAC Regular Season Championship. He saved 60 percent of the shots he faced, allowing six goals, with nine saves in the win. He also became the Bear's all-time leader in saves with 469 for his career.

This is Golia's third Player of the Week honor this season, while this marks the fifth Player of the Week honor for Crompton this season.
