Lincoln Memorial's Bradbury and Anderson's Coleman Headline 2020 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Award Winners
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial's Dan Bradbury was voted the 2020 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfer of the Year, while Anderson's Reece Coleman was named the Conference's Freshman of the Year and Lincoln Memorial's Travis Muncy was named the Coach of the Year, the SAC office announced today.
Bradbury, a junior from Yorkshire, England, tallied top-five finishes in seven of eight total tournaments in addition to three tournament victories for the Railsplitters throughout the 2019-20 season. He posted a Golfstat adjusted scoring average of 70.21, which was No. 2 in the NCAA Southeast Region and No. 4 in NCAA Division II. He was a PING Division II All-American selection and was a PING All-Southeast Region pick. Bradbury was named SAC AstroTurf Golfer of the Week after his thirteen-under-par performance and tournament title at the Battle at Hilton Head on February 26.
Coleman, a freshman from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, posted a Golfstat adjusted scoring average of 72.21 through six tournaments this season to pace the Trojans. He was ranked No. 25 in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region, finishing in the top-11 on five occasions, including a pair of tournament titles and a runner-up performance. Coleman carded the team-low round for the Trojans this season, shooting 66 (-6) in the second round of the Donald Ross Invitational.
Muncy earned his second consecutive SAC Coach of the Year honor in 2020 after leading the Railsplitters to a No. 7 national ranking in the Bushnell Golfweek Division II poll. Muncy's men's team captured seven top-10 finishes in 2019-20, including three tournament titles and two runner-up finishes. He coached three all-conference selections, including two first team selections and two PING All-Americans.
Bradbury and Coleman also earned first team All-SAC honors for their performances this season and they are joined on the first team by Carson-Newman's Tom Forster, Queens' Taisuke Ono, and Lincoln Memorial's Luke Harries. Forster posted an adjusted scoring average of 71.44, while Ono and Harries were both named PING All-Americans with adjusted scoring averages of 71.72 and 72.03, respectively.
