Queens finished 19th and Carson-Newman 20th in the team standings at the 2014 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship south/southeast regional, which concluded on Wednesday.
POOLER, Ga. – Queens finished 19th and Carson-Newman 20th in the team standings at the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship south/southeast regional, which concluded on Wednesday.
Queens posted a final-round team score of 308, led by rounds of 74 from Jordan Bilodeau and 75 from Freddie Nordhoff. Bilodeau and Nordhoff finished tied for 41st and tied for 65th, respectively, as individuals to lead the Royals.
Carson-Newman, meanwhile, got even-par rounds of 72 on Wednesday from Jonathan Kim-Moss and Nicklaus Kennedy, helping the Eagles finish with a tournament-best team score of 300. Kim-Moss ended in a tie for 71st on the individual leaderboard, followed by Dalton Reese in a tie for 95th.
Wingate's Benedict Gebhardt, competing as an individual, carded a 79 in the final round to finish tied for 78th.
Barry won the event's team championship, while Florida Southern's Tim Crouch was the top individual, finishing at six-under 210.
