Mount Olive and Lander Ranked in Penn Monto/ NFHCA Weekly Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Mount Olive and Lander were ranked in this week's Penn Monto/ NFHCA Poll, released Tuesday (Nov. 7). The Trojans were voted No. 5 while the Bearcats were voted No. 10.
Mount Olive concluded their season this week with an overall record of 15-2 while going 14-0 in conference play. The Trojans moved down one spot from last week's rankings.
Lander finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 13-6 and took home the program's first-ever SAC Championship Title. For their efforts, the Bearcats earned the No. 10 ranking in the poll, entering for the first time.
The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 10 teams with a .500 or better record in the nation each week. Each Division II team with an NFHCA member coach is permitted one vote for the ranking each week.
Polls are announced every Tuesday during the field hockey playing season.
The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2023 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship.
