Six SAC Football Players Named to D2CCA All-American Teams
The 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-American Football Teams were released on Wednesday (Dec. 15) with six players from the South Atlantic Conference earning first or second team honors.
Leading the way were first team selections McLean Robertson (kicker) from Wingate, Tristan Rankin (cornerback) from Mars Hill, and Clayton Crile (punter) from Catawba.
Earning second team honors were Mars Hill tight end Ty Snelson, Lenoir-Rhyne running back Dwayne McGee, and Newberry cornerback Anthony Blue.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
