Bulldogs Eliminate Cobras in SAC Tourney Opener Behind Strong Pitching
Kodak, Tenn.----The fifth-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs had four pitchers combine to allow just one unearned run on five hits, led by six strong innings from David Nash en route to a 3-1 victory over eighth-seeded Coker College in an elimination game on the opening day of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference baseball tournament. Wingate improves to 31-16 overall, advancing to the double-elimination portion of the tournament, while the Cobras are eliminated from the tournament, falling to 16-28-1 on the year. FULL RECAP
Trojans Win Offensive Battle with Eagles, 9-4
Kodak, Tenn. – In a game that had a combined 28 hits and 13 runs, it was the No. 7 seed Anderson Trojans that defeated the No. 6 seed Cason-Newman Eagles, 9-4 on Thursday (April 25) night in the opening round the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Pilot Flying J Baseball Championship.
