Catawba’s Wade Moore Named To ABCA All-America Team
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba senior outfielder, Wade Moore (Salisbury, NC/W. Rowan HS/NC State), has been named a third team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
Recently, Moore joined Nathan Furr (Albemarle, NC/W. Stanly HS), Trevor Mullins (Jamestown, NC/Ragsdale HS/Appalachian St.), Wil Huneycutt (Locust, NC/W. Stanly HS) and Craige Lyerly (Salisbury, NC/E. Rowan HS) on the NCBWA All-Southeast Region team.
Moore led Catawba in most offensive categories. He batted .410 with 16 home runs, 59 runs batted in, 20 doubles and scored 77 runs. The 77 runs was the fourth best total in a season at Catawba, while his .790 slugging percentage ranks seventh best. He also stole 29 bases, just one shy of the school record. Moore had 52 walks and a .542 on-base percentage, both of which stand second for a season.
