Black History Month Spotlight: Coker's Adrienne Singletary
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) - Black History Month is an annual observance during the month of February to celebrate the achievements of African Americans and recognize their role throughout U.S. history.
The South Atlantic Conference is taking part in this year's celebration by featuring some of our Administrators and Coaches whose exemplary work furthers the success of our student-athletes and conference. Throughout the month, the SAC will highlight various individuals from across our member institutions.
Our fourth feature spotlight is Coker's Adrienne Singletary. In her own words, learn more about Adrienne below!
Introduce Yourself
My name is Adrienne Singletary and I am the Assistant Director of Athletics for Fan Engagement and Event Management at Coker University.
What is a Fun Fact About Yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I have met former President Bill Clinton.
How Do You Celebrate Black History Month?
I celebrate Black History Month by honoring and learning about the contributions and achievements of African Americans to our society and the richness of our culture. I take the time to reflect on how far we have come (my mom was a part of desegregating her school a little over 50 years ago), but also realize we as a society still have so much more to do.
