Lincoln Memorial's Bradbury Named 2020-21 South Atlantic Conference Male Athlete of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial University's Dan Bradbury has been selected as the 2020-21 South Atlantic Conference Male Athlete of the Year, the conference announced on Tuesday (June 29). The Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards are selected by a vote of the league's athletic directors.
Bradbury, a senior from Yorkshire, England, was the 2020-21 SAC Men's Golfer of the Year and 2021 SAC Men's Golf Championship Tournament medalist. He was a first team All-SAC selection and he set the SAC record for the lowest three-round total at the SAC Championship, as he shot a 196 (-20) over the three rounds, shattering the previous mark of 208 (-8).
Additionally, Bradbury won three tournaments this season and is the No. 1 ranked golfer in NCAA Division II according to Golfstat. He was named the 2020-21 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's golf and was an All-Region and All-American selection, while also being a finalist for the Jack Nicklaus Award for NCAA Division II National Player of the Year.
He finished the season with an adjusted scoring average of 69.76, going 66-0 versus players ranked in the top-100 this season.
Bradbury becomes the third Lincoln Memorial student-athlete to receive Male Athlete of the Year honors.
