Wingate Athletic Training Named South Atlantic Conference Athletic Training Staff of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference Athletic Trainers Committee has selected the Wingate University athletic training staff as the 2018-19 Athletic Training Staff of the Year, the League announced today.
"Congratulations to Tim Singleton and the entire Wingate athletic training staff," said South Atlantic Conference Commissioner Patrick Britz. "The Wingate staff has shown tremendous dedication and passion, as have all of the athletic trainers in the conference, for our student-athletes and their well-being. We are extremely grateful for the hard work and effort they all put forward every day to ensue the health and safety of the student-athletes."
Led by Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Tim Singleton, the Bulldog athletic training staff features 10 certified athletic trainers and two team doctors.
"We are extremely grateful to the conference as well as the member schools to be voted as the top staff this year," Singleton says. "To be among the other schools that have won this award is a tremendous honor. I am proud of the staff and how they cared for our student-athletes and fulfilled our department's mission statement. The award is voted on by the South Atlantic Conference Athletic Trainers Committee.
