WePlayed Sports Volleyball Players of the Week Announced for Week Three

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Volleyball Players of the Week for matches played during week three of the 2024 season. Limestone's Mia McMillen was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Lenoir-Rhyne's Averie Dale brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors.

McMillen, a junior from Dobson, N.C., led Limestone to a pair of wins in South Atlantic Conference play last week. McMillen had 13 kills and 11 digs with two blocks in a 3-1 win over Anderson and then went off for 22 kills and 21 digs with two blocks in a 3-1 win over UVA Wise. For the week, McMillen totaled 35 kills, 4.38 kills per set and hit .250 while adding 32 digs and four blocks.

Dale, a sophomore from Hickory, N.C., led the Bears to a 3-0 week to move them to 12-0 on the season, the best start in program history. In wins over Newberry, Mars Hill and UNC Pembroke, Dale totaled 13 blocks and 12 digs and notched a career-high seven blocks in a three-set victory over Mars Hill. She leads Lenoir-Rhyne with 53 blocks on the season and this is her second SAC Defensive Player of the Week award this year.
