WINGATE, N.C. – The Anderson Trojans are Elite Eight bound after winning their first NCAA Southeast Region Final with a sweep over Augusta (27-25, 25-15, 25-22) on Sunday, December 3.

Tabitha Wheeler led the Trojans with 10 kills, while Rylie Sargent and Brantley Chipley each added seven kills to the stat sheet.  Defensively, Lindsay McCurley led Anderson with 14 digs. Jenna Long dished out a match-high 37 assists.

For their efforts, Tabitha Wheeler, Rylie Sargent, Jenna Long, Lindsay McCurley, and Brantley Chipley were named to the NCAA Southeast Regional All-Tournament Team. Additionally, Wingate's Gabby Saye and Lorna Stacherski were named to the All-Tournament Team to total seven SAC student-athletes receiving honors.

With the win, Anderson will advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals on December 7th.
