Wingate Ranked No. 19 in AVCA/TARAFLEX DII Poll
LEXINGTON, Ky – For the second week in a row, Wingate volleyball has been ranked No. 19 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II poll.
The Bulldogs hold a 9-1 overall record after an undefeated week. They defeated Catawba 3-0 on Tuesday and Newberry 3-0 on Saturday to start out conference play with a 2-0 SAC record.
Also receiving votes in the poll was Anderson (11).
The AVCA, with its headquarters in Lexington, Ky., is managed by Associations International. With a membership of over 8,000 and counting, the AVCA provides a professional network for those individuals and companies dedicated to enhancing and promoting the sport. Members include collegiate, high school, club, youth, and Olympic coaches, as well as volleyball club directors. The AVCA provides professional development for volleyball coaches, recognition of elite players and coaches, promotion of volleyball competitions throughout the world, and networking opportunities for volleyball products and services providers.
