Mars Hill Sweeps South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Volleyball Players of the Week for matches played during the seventh week of the 2022 season.  Mars Hill outside hitter Sarah Goddard was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Mars Hill middle blocker Jana Cuk was named the Defensive Player of the Week. 

Goddard, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., led the Lions to a 2-0 SAC record last week with wins over Tusculum (3-2) and Catawba (3-1). She recorded a double-double in each match with 24 kills and 20 digs against Tusculum, and 14 kills and 14 digs against Catawba. For the week she had 38 total kills, averaging 4.22 kills per set, with 34 digs and she scored 40.5 points overall for the Lions. 

Cuk, a senior from Valjevo, Serbia, tallied 26 total kills with 10 digs and eight blocks on the week for the Lions. She finished the week hitting .281 with 2.89 kills, 0.89 blocks, and 3.6 points per set.
