The South Atlantic Conference Announces Volleyball Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its Volleyball Players of the Week for matches played during the fourth week of the 2022 season.  Lenoir-Rhyne outside hitter Emmaleigh Allen was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Mars Hill middle blocker Nikkayla Stewart was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Allen, a freshman from Wooster, Ohio, led the Bears to a pair of SAC victories last week as they defeated Anderson (3-1) and Newberry (3-1). She hit .309 for the week with 32 kills, two assists, three aces, 18 digs, and four total blocks. She finished the week scoring 38 points for Lenoir-Rhyne, averaging 4.8 points per set.

Stewart, a sophomore from Greeneville, Tenn., was instrumental in the Lions' SAC wins last week over Carson-Newman (3-0) and Limestone (3-2). She recorded 13 total blocks last week, averaging 1.63 blocks per set. She also had 15 total kills and a .303 hitting percentage for the week.
