Lenoir-Rhyne Downs Anderson in Five Sets to Win the 2021 SAC Volleyball Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears took down the Anderson Trojan's in a five-set thriller to take home the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Tournament Championship title on Saturday (Nov. 20). Every set was a tight back and forth battle from start to finish with the Bears pulling away in the fifth set with the final scores of (19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-18, 17-15).
Lenoir-Rhyne's Taylor Prall was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after she had 17 kills, 20 two service aces and one block. Teammates Romp, Hawkins and Clark all registered double figure kills while libero Rachel Bewick picked up 23 digs. Emma Clark led the team in block assists with 10.
For the Trojan's, Sadie Kluner came up with 21 kills while teammates Petrilli, DeVaux, Neff and McCurley all tallied double digit digs for the Trojans. In addition, Anderson's Setter Madison Roy added 50 assists and 10 digs.
In addition to Prall's MVP honors, a seven-member All-Tournament team was named.

With the Win the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears have earned an automatic bid to the NCAA DII Volleyball Tournament. The selection show for the Southeast Region will be held Monday night Nov, 22 at 7:30PM.
