Bracket Set for 2021 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum, Wingate, and Anderson each finished the regular season with identical 15-3 records in conference play, giving all three a share of the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Regular Season Title.  Tusculum earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SAC Volleyball Championship based on its 3-1 record versus Wingate and Anderson.

Wingate earned the No. 2 seed thanks to a 1-0 head-2-head record against Anderson. Anderson claimed the No. 3 seed, while Lenoir-Rhyne took the No. 4 seed with a 14-4 record.

Carson-Newman finished with an 11-7 record to claim the No. 5 seed. Queens took the No. 6 seed with a 10-8 record, and Mars Hill earned the No. 7 seed with a 9-9 record.  

Rounding out the tournament field is Catawba with an 8-10 record. The Catawba Indians and Limestone Saints both finished with identical records in SAC play, but Catawba won the tiebreaker by virtue of a 1-0 head-to-head record.  

The SAC Volleyball Championship quarterfinals will be played at the highest seeds on Tuesday, Nov. 16, before moving to the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 19 and 20. The South Atlantic Conference Tournament Champion receives the League's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA DII Volleyball Championship.

Tuesday, Nov. 16 (at highest seeds)

Game 1: #1 Tusculum vs. #8 Catawba, 7 p.m.
Game 2: #4 Lenoir-Rhyne vs. #5 Carson-Newman, 7 p.m.
Game 3: #2 Wingate vs. #7 Mars Hill, 7 p.m.
Game 4: #3 Anderson vs. #6 Queens, 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 19 (Rock Hill Sports & Event Center)

Game 5: winner game 1 vs. winner game 2, 4:00 p.m.
Game 6: winner game 3 vs. winner game 4, 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 20 (Rock Hill Sports & Event Center)

Game 7: winner game 5 vs. winner game 6, 2:00 p.m.
