Balanced effort leads C-N's sweep of Anderson in NCAA Tournament

WINGATE, N.C. – In perhaps the most balanced team effort of the season, third-seeded Carson-Newman won an opening round match for the fifth time in the last six trips Thursday at Cuddy Arena in front of a pro-Eagle contingent over sixth-seeded Anderson 26-24, 25-22 and 25-20 to advance to the Southeast Region semifinals. Queens Ends 2019 Season in NCAA Quarterfinals

WINGATE, N.C. – After receiving an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Women's Volleyball Southeast Regional last week, the second-seeded Queens University of Charlotte women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16) loss to seventh-seeded Saints of Flagler College on Thursday afternoon inside Cuddy Arena on the campus of Wingate University. 'Dogs advance to regional semifinals for 10th time in 12 years with sweep over Lions

Wingate, N.C.----The top-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs swept past the eighth-seeded Emmanuel College Lions Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the 2019 NCAA Southeast Regional Volleyball Tournament in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-13 to improve to 30-2 overall and advance to Friday night's regional semifinal match. The Lions end their season at 20-13 overall. FULL RESULTS
