South Atlantic Conference Teams Fill Six Spots in NCAA Volleyball Southeast Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted six teams in the NCAA southeast regional rankings. Wingate checks in at the top, while spots 4-6 are filled by Anderson, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Lincoln Memorial. Mars Hill and Carson-Newman round out the poll at No. 9 and 10.
The Bulldogs are riding a perfect record as the lone undefeated team in Division II at 23-0 overall and 16-0 in conference play.
The Trojans are on a three-match win streak and come in with a record of 24-3 (15-2).
The Bears have won four in a row to pace themselves with a 17-7 overall standing and 11-6 in SAC competition.
With a 14-7 (10-5 SAC) mark, the Railsplitters are third in SAC standings.
The Lions of Mars Hill look to end a five-match skid, falling to 14-10 overall and an even 8-8 in conference.
Looking to end a bad streak as well are the Eagles with a record of 11-11 and 7-8 in the SAC.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
