The South Atlantic Conference Posts Three Volleyball Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted three teams in the NCAA Southeast Regional Volleyball Rankings, the NCAA announced recently. Wingate came in at No. 2 in the rankings, followed by Carson-Newman at No. 4. Lenoir-Rhyne rounded out the list of regionally ranked SAC member institutions at No. 10.
The Bulldogs are the No. 1 seed in this week's SAC Volleyball Championship and are currently 26-3 in the Southeast Region. Carson-Newman is the No. 2 seed in the SAC tournament and is sporting a Southeast Region record of 23-6. The Bears are currently 20-7 in the Southeast Region and are the No. 3 seed in the South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Championship.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
