The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for the 2015 SAC Volleyball Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate won its 10-straight South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship as it captured the 2015 Title. With the crown, the Bulldogs have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Championship, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon. Wingate finished the season with a 20-2 Conference record.
Carson-Newman and Lenoir-Rhyne finished the SAC season with identical 18-4 Conference records. The Eagles took both contests vs. the Bears during the regular season to break the tie and earn the No. 2 seed. Lincoln Memorial and Catawba also finished in a tie with 12-10 League records. The Railsplitters earn the No. 4 seed via their win over Carson-Newman during the season, leaving Catawba at the No. 5 seed. Queens turned in an 11-11 record in the League to land at the No. 6 seed. Anderson and Brevard closed out the Conference season with 9-13 records. The Trojans picked up a win over Catawba during the regular season to earn the No. 7 seed. Brevard rounds out the seeds at No. 8.
The 2015 South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Championship will be played on the campus of Anderson University and begins on Friday, Nov. 20 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 22. The South Atlantic Conference Tournament Champion receives the League's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Volleyball Championship. The Conference Championship schedule is as follows:
