The South Atlantic Conference Posts Four Volleyball Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings
Wingate, Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson and Carson-Newman represented the League in the women’s Southeast Regional Rankings
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted four volleyball teams the NCAA Regional Rankings, the NCAA announced recently. Wingate, Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson and Carson-Newman represented the League in the women's Southeast Regional Rankings.
Wingate came in at No. 2 in the rankings and are ranked No. 7 in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The Bulldogs are 24-1 this season. Close behind Wingate was Lenoir-Rhyne, who came in at No. 3 in the Southeast with its 17-7 overall mark. Anderson came in at the No. 6 position as it is 19-6 overall. Carson-Newman rounded out the list for the South Atlantic Conference at the No. 9 slot. The Eagles are 20-5 overall.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
