SAC Volleyball Players of the Week Named
The SAC has selected Lenoir-Rhyne junior Haley Rhyne as its Volleyball Player of the Week and Tusculum senior Caitlyn Dean as Specialist of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The SAC has selected Lenoir-Rhyne junior Haley Rhyne as its Volleyball Player of the Week and Tusculum senior Caitlyn Dean as Specialist of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Rhyne averaged 4.75 kills and 2.5 digs per set last week as Lenoir-Rhyne went 2-1 to remain in a tie for second in the SAC standings.
Rhyne opened the week with a double-double of 16 kills and 17 digs on Monday in a 3-1 L-R victory over Mars Hill, then added 15 kills and eight digs on Tuesday in a sweep of Anderson. She closed out the week with a career-high 26 kills to go along with five digs in a 3-2 loss to Tusculum on Friday.
Rhyne also added seven blocks and a service ace last week. She currently ranks fifth in the SAC win an average of 3.60 kills per set.
SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week | Caitlyn Dean, Tusculum
Dean helped lead Tusculum to a perfect 3-0 week by averaging 6.31 digs and 1.31 assists per set. She posted 20-plus digs in all three matches, recording 22 against Carson-Newman on Tuesday, 29 at Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday and 31 at Brevard on Saturday.
Dean leads the SAC in digs this season with 497, and her 2,958 career digs are third-most in NCAA Division II history.
