Wingate Duo Sweeps SAC Volleyball Weekly Awards
After guiding their Wingate team to a 2-0 start in SAC play, senior Anna Hilton and junior Alison Cooke have been selected as the conference’s volleyball weekly award winners, it was announced on Monday morning.

SAC Player of the Week | Anna Hilton, Wingate
Hilton won SAC Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row after piling up 28 kills and 17 digs in Wingate's victories over Newberry and Anderson. She kicked off the weekend with nine kills, six digs and three blocks on Friday against Newberry, then recorded 19 kills, 11 digs and a block the next day against Anderson.
The reigning SAC Player of the Year hit .510 in the two matches while committing just three errors. She currently ranks fourth in the conference with 90 kills.
SAC Specialist of the Week | Alison Cooke, Wingate
Cooke was named the SAC Specialist of the Week after averaging 11.57 assists and 2.86 digs per set against Newberry and Anderson. The setter finished with 27 assists and eight digs against Newberry, then followed with a double-double of 54 assists and 12 digs versus Anderson.
Cooke also added six blocks and two kills on the week. She leads the SAC in assists per set at 10.26.
