Wingate Leads Five SAC Teams In Region Volleyball Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS -- Wingate University continues to hold the top spot in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region volleyball rankings for the week ending Oct. 25, and is one of five South Atlantic Conference teams in the top 10.

Carson-Newman College is fifth, followed by Lincoln Memorial University in sixth. Tusculum College jumps into the poll at number seven, while Catawba College drops to tenth.

Conference tournament champions from the SAC, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas will earn automatic bids into the NCAA Division II Tournament. Five more teams from the region will receive at-large bids to the eight-team region tournament.

The next region poll will be released on Nov. 12, and region selections will be announced Nov. 15.
