Carson-Newman’s Clark, LMU’s Kiwacka Named Volleyball Players Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Carson-Newman College middle blocker Jasmine Clark and Lincoln Memorial University setter Lauren Kiwacka have been named Volleyball Player and Specialist of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Clark, a freshman from Pelham, Ala. (Pelham HS) led the way for the Lady Eagles offensively as the team posted a 3-0 record on the week, all against conference opponents. Clark hit .468 and tallied double digit kills in each of the three matches, including a career-tying and match-high 15 at Brevard Saturday. Clark was also C-N's best defensive player with 15 blocks on the week (3 solo, 12 assist), tying her career-high with eight blocks against Lenior-Rhyne Friday. For the week, Clark averaged 3.18 kills per set and 1.36 blocks per set.

Kiwacka, a junior from Tipp City, Ohio recorded another rare triple-double, her second of the season, in helping the Lady Railsplitters achieve a perfect 3-0 week with conference road-victories over Tusculum College, Brevard College and Lenoir-Rhyne University. In Saturday's road-win over the Bears, Kiwacka turned a 14 kills, 21 assists and 12 digs from her setter position. She had 25 assists against Tusculum and averaged 4.85 assists per set on the week.
