LMU’s Richardson, Kiwacka Named Volleyball Players Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Lincoln Memorial University outside hitter Candace Richardson and setter Lauren Kiwacka have been named Volleyball Player and Specialist of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Last week, Richardson's efforts were instrumental in the Lady Railsplitters taking three consecutive wins including two wins over South Atlantic Conference opponents Carson-Newman College and Newberry College. Richardson, a sophomore from Houston, Texaxs, turned in a career a career-high 15 kills against league opponent Newberry College on Friday evening in LMU's 3-1 win. She also had 11 kills against Carson-Newman.

Kiwacka, a junior from Tipp City, Ohio, had a triple double Friday evening against league opponent Newberry College when she had 10 kills, 28 assists and 14 digs. She also had 19 assists and nine digs in a win over Carson-Newman. The victory over the Lady Eagles is LMU's third consecutive win over the Carson-Newman program dating back to November 14, 2008.
The Lady Railsplitters are now 10-2 and 2-0 in the South Atlantic Conference.
