Tusculum’s Luebke, Colcough Named Volleyball Players Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tusculum College sophomore outside hitter Katie Luebke (Bellefontaine, Ohio) is this week's South Atlantic Conference volleyball Player of the Week. Pioneer freshman setter Peyton Colcough (Manassas, Va.) is the SAC volleyball Specialist of the Week, giving Tusculum a sweep of this week's awards.
A 6-0 outside hitter and Bellefontaine High School product, Katie Luebke averaged 3.89 kills per set and posted a .366 hitting percentage to lead the Pioneers to a pair of South Atlantic Conference road wins last week. She recorded 15 kills and a pair of blocks in Tusculum's 3-2 victory at rival Carson-Newman College. Luebke and the Pioneers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to come away with the hard-fought win.
In Tusculum's 3-1 win at Mars Hill College, Luebke posted 20 kills and a sizzling .514 hitting percentage (20-2-35) in the Pioneers' road victory. She also served up three aces and three blocks in the triumph. In 2007, Luebke was an All-SAC second team choice and a member of the All-Freshman team.

Peyton Colcough |
Pioneer rookie setter Peyton Colcough averaged 9.56 assists per set and posted a .727 hitting percentage last week. A 5-10 freshman from Forest Park High School, Colcough recorded 50 assists, 12 digs and a 1.000 hitting percentage (6-0-6) in Tusculum's 3-2 win at Carson-Newman.
Colcough followed the Carson-Newman performance with 36 assists, 11 digs and a .400 attack percentage (3-1-5) in Tusculum's 3-1 victory at Mars Hill. On the week, Colclough also averaged 2.56 digs per set as the Pioneers improve to 12-4 overall (3-1 in SAC). Both Luebke and Colcough earn SAC weekly honors for the first time in their respective careers.
The SAC Volleyball Players of the Week are determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
