Newberry’s Sales, Tusculum’s LeMay Named Volleyball Players Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Newberry College senior outside hitter Priscila Sales (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) is this week's South Atlantic Conference volleyball Player of the Week. Tusculum College freshman libero Heather LeMay (Naperville, Ill.) is the SAC volleyball Specialist of the Week.
A transfer from Arkansas-Fort Smith, Priscila Sales hit a remarkable .439 in two matches last week. Newberry elevated its record to 4-1 overall on the season with wins over USC Aiken and Belmont Abbey. Sales recorded 3.67 kills, 2.67 digs and 4.33 points per set last week.

Against USCA, Sales notched nine kills in three sets. She had only one error against the Pacers (.400). Sales also recorded two service aces and eight digs. In the three-set victory over Belmont Abbey, Sales posted 13 kills in 21 attempts with only three errors (.476). She once again recorded two service aces and eight digs.
Heather LeMay helped the TC Pioneers to a perfect 4-0 week with 4.73 digs per set. Tusculum won three matches in the Limestone Southeast Crossover Tournament, with LeMay averaging 5.17 digs per set in the event.
A graduate of Neuqua Valley High School, LeMay recorded 18 digs in a 3-1 win over Mount Olive. She followed with a season-best 23 digs in a 3-1 victory over Anderson (S.C.). She wrapped up the Southeast Crossover event with 21 digs in a 3-1 victory over host Limestone. Earlier in the week, she had nine digs in a regular season victory over North Greenville.
The SAC Volleyball Players of the Week are determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
