Tusculum’s Heather MacArthur named SAC Volleyball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tusculum's Heather MacArthur has been named the South Atlantic Conference volleyball Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday afternoon.
MacArthur, a sophomore outside hitter, posted a .305 hitting percentage last week for the Pioneers, who went 5-1 on the week. The Salt Lake City, Utah native averaged 3.45 kills-per-game and 0.64 blocks-per-game.
The East High School product garnered double-figure digs in the
final three matches of the Pioneers' week, including picking up 19
in TC's win over Lander.
MacArthur and Tusculum enter this week with an 8-3 record, giving the program its best start since 1998.
The SAC Volleyball Players of the Week are chosen by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
