Tusculum Volleyball Ranked Second Nationally in Academics
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Tusculum College volleyball team posted the second best team grade point average in the nation according to the 2001-02 American Volleyball Coaches Association/Molten Team Academic Awards. The Pioneers posted a 3.56 cumulative average, finishing behind only West Virginia Wesleyan College who accounted for 3.59.
TC also ranked sixth in the country overall for all three NCAA divisions.
Tusculum also shined on the court in 2001, recording a 21-15 mark, their second straight 20-win season under sixth-year head coach Beth Birky. TC will open the 2002 schedule on Aug. 30 when they travel to Lander University for a 7 p.m. match in Greenwood, S.C.
